BRA Day is an internationally recognised day dedicated to the education and awareness of breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery. Breast Cancer Foundation NZ partner with the specialist team of surgeons and nurses from Counties Manukau and Hutt Valley Regions to host an event highlighting options for reconstruction, different surgeries and the best timing for these, as well as what to expect from your recovery. BCAC is run by breast cancer survivors, and represents more than 30 breast cancer-related groups as well as individual members. We have used our experiences to develop the Step by Step support pack. This free pack provides resources, information and advice to those newly diagnosed with breast cancer. BCAC is also able to help women navigate the health system and provide information or assistance when needed.

We provide support for all people with a diagnosis of breast cancer either newly diagnosed, in remission, or with secondary cancer. We do this via support groups, one-to-one contact (usually by phone, online, or in person by arrangement), and a free help line available 365 days a year.
